Open Question: old wood chair. i want it to look old with chippy paint.?i have an old wooden chair i bought at a second hand store. the white paint was all chipping off and i sit it on my back step with a pot of flowers on it's seat. AWESOME! now, a few years later, it gotten weather beaten and there's no chippy white paint left. it's only just all around grey. how do i get that old paint flake back? is there a technique? something with saran wrap?? Open Question: paint ideas for my nursery?so Im having a baby girl in April and just finished putting the first coat of paint on the walls. The color is called "Honey Butter" kind of like a light tan honey color. The majority of the furniture is a nice dark rich brown, and on one of the walls I would like to do something with a dark brown paint but im not sure what to do.I was thinking maybe some dark brown (really thick) stripes on one of the walls but im not sure. now im not exactly artistic so dont say anything like paint a mural cause it wouldn't turn out pretty, lol. any suggestions? Open Question: Where in NYC can I buy inexpensive, unfinished canvas by the yard?I've tried searching online, but everything seems to be really high-end and fashion oriented. I just need a few yards of unfinished, medium-weight canvas. Any ideas about where to get this? I also need to buy some thread as well. If I can get it in the same place, that would be tops!
