Open Question: Possible to add flat trim around windows on a house with wood siding?

My house desperately needs something to make the windows look better. We have the cheap black metal windows. So, I saw online that you can add trim around your windows. (It looks like 4 thin peices of wood nailed around the window) I saw this done to the same cheap black windows, and it was a cream trim/frame around window and looked awesome. Well, I saw this done on stucco. Our house is wood siding... Is it possible to do this on wood siding? I would be putting shutters on each side of the frames so you wouldn't see the gaps... ?

I'll be doing a kitchen renovation soon and would like to know from cooks who have used both white and black ceramic cooktops which was easiest to keep looking good. I'm going for a white kitchen but want the cooktop to stay looking good. Please answer only if you have experience of using and cleaning both black and white ceramic surfaces.

Open Question: How much would you sell this mattress set for?

I've got an Englander full size pillow top mattress and box spring set with the metal bed frame. It's about 6 years old. Kept in very good condition with no stains, no rips or tears, no pets, and no smoking. Much of the time was barely used, as it was either in the guest bedroom or in storage. How much would you sell it for?
