Open Question: what color should we paint our sun room?

We have dark grey carpet, a tan love seat and light greeny/blue couch. The room gets a ton of natural light and we have bright ceiling fan lights for the evening.

Open Question: Decorating a living room that is very long.?

I have a a long living room and need some help with decor ideas. Here is the set up: The wall at the end has our flat screen TV along with 2 large pictures on the side. The wall to the left has a large window, and the wall to the right has nothing on it. I have my sofa and love seat pulled AWAY from the walls, along with my chase, I think that gives the room a more inviting, intimate feeling. The two side walls are very long, they run half the length of the house. I need some ideas on wall decor and maybe a separate seating area? I don't want to have bare walls, I want to create a nice "Traditional Style" living space. Any ideas would really help! Thank you!!!!

Open Question: re-designing living room, & knocking out a half wall (w/electrical)?

So I want to re-design my small living room and I have an idea in my head of what I would like to do. However, we have a half wall that sticks out the length of a sofa by the front door and it contains 2 separate light switches (1 for the light & porchlight, and the other switch turns off the electrical outlet on the adjacent wall which is pointless to me). How hard would it be to take out this half wall and re-wire the light/porchlight switches? Obviously I wouldn't be doing this myself, but I thought I'd ask opinions before I start calling for estimates. Maybe even a roundabout guess of cost would be nice if you know. Thanks! ALSO: Moving TV/entertainment center to other side of room, would all I have to do is call my cable company and have them come out and re-wire my cable cord? Is that service free?

Open Question: Should I paint my tiny room a dark color?

I am thinking of painting my room a dark color but I'm scared that I will end up hating it due to the fact that my room is very small and I don't want to feel "suffocated" by it. At the moment my room is basically white but it has a very faint hint of lavender in it, the ceiling and trim are an off white. My room is small but it has some features that help it seem bigger: I have high slanted ceilings, I have one HUGE window that practically covers one entire wall from floor to ceiling..and I get a TON of light from that window, my room is the brightest in the house, I hardly need to turn on a light, and it stays pretty bright as long as the sun is up. Since it's small I don't have much furnishings in it, just a small bedside table (white), and a medium sized tall dresser (white), and then my bed which is a full and is decorated with light covers and pillows. I was really considering painting my room a deep purple/grape, like a very dark purple but not black. Light enough to tell that it's obviously purple but not light like a kids room painted purple. Or I was thinking of painting it a deep raspberry maybe with a faint hint of maroon in it, but more dark raspberry/pinkish. So is this a horrible idea, should I just stick with painting it a light color? Thanks for reading and any thoughts are welcome :]. Well I live in southern California, it's pretty much really sunny all year round. So I get tons of sunlight. Oh and idk if this helps at all but I'm 18 and just want a more maturish room and I love dark colors i'm just not sure if my room could pull it off.
