Open Question: what type floor should we install in our kitchen? and more... Open Question: what type floor should we install in our kitchen? We are remodeling our kitchen and need to come up with a floor type. Of course, budget is a concern and we are looking for something that matches our craftsman style bungalow and the cabinets and counter tops we're having fabricated. The colors in the cabinets and countertops are similar to this picture http://www.delcoverwoodworking.com/CRAFTSMAN_KITCHEN.jpg and the cabinet style and hardware is going to be like this http://www.ikeafans.com/galleries/images/46265/large/1_IMG_1478.jpg Since the kitchen is only about 75 sq feet, we're thinking of hardwood flooring. We think trying to get an exact match isn't very realistic so we were thinking of going dark or with a fir. However, we are worried that would be too many different colors of wood. What do you think? What color wood or other flooring options do you think would be nice and match our cabinets, counter-tops and craftsman house?
