Open Question: I am redoing my bedroom. What are good colour schemes that go with red walls?

I have red walls, not light red, but not quite dark red. I really want my room to be lighter, I have huge windows that let a lot of light in. I am thinking of getting white furniture to lighten up the room a bit. What other colour schemes do you think would go with red?

Open Question: What do I need to consider when putting an addition on my house?

I'm going to be buying a house in a rural area where the lots are like an acre or two. I really want a fixer upper that is modest in size and price where we can live there forever and fix it up ourselves (that's my hobby). The reason behind this is that we want a lot of things in our house like a big finished basement, a big great room, and a big master suite and to find a house that already has all the things I want in this area you pretty much have to buy new construction in a subdivision that has small lots and isn't rural or a mansion with a pond and all that. We don't want the first and can't afford the second. To buy a big lot on it's own and build a house like we would want it seems like it would cost about as much as it would to buy a modest house on the same amount of land, plus then you would have to build the house. Plus, I just like older homes and the character they have. I'm just wondering what things I need to consider when buying a home. We're planning on buying a house that costs between 120-175k, paying it off in about 5 years and then building onto the back of it and if it doesn't already have a basement, putting one in under the addition. I just don't want to get into a situation where we buy a house and then find out there's some reason that we can't do that structurally.

Open Question: Why is my Condo so dusty?

I keep my place pretty clean yet the dust always piles up. I live on the 3rd floor on an end unit with two decks. I do run a fan in my bedroom (can't sleep without it and like the white noise) but my shades are always pulled and rarely use my master bedroom outdoor deck. But when cleaning you can't believe the huge dust bunnies I find. Please help me find a solution from this aggravating situation. It really BUGS me! Mostly carpet and only a small amount of verbose oak wood.
