Open Question: Where to buy black with white polka dot curtains?Open Question: painting wood panelling?we are in the middle of redecorating and have struck a really frustrating problem. the people that lived here before us made a feature at the bottom of the walls of wood panels. strips of wood about an inch thick made into squares on the wall to make a panel affect. we really liked it and decided to keep it. we decided to do the squares the same colour as the top half of the walls with a more vibrant colour around the rest of the bottom. we have managed to get the lines really clean and crisp by retouching but the retouch marks have come out paler and they stand out a mile, even though the paint all came from the same tin. im thinking it might be cas a smaller brush was used for the retouching so as not to get it on the squares. to put a second coat over the retouch marks using a bigger brush would just make a mess. what do we do??? we dont want to put the tape on the wood as it might pull the emulsion off which would just make it even more of a nightmare. i am really close to giving up and just doing it all one colour which would b a shame. any suggestions????
