Open Question: my builders have laid ceramic tiles on plywood in my bathroom.?the floor now slopes from left to right and front to back. when I questioned them, they said there was a stone hearth slightly higher than the original floorboards, thats why it sloped from left to right. I asked if they could have leveled the floor using something, but they said no. they havent explained why it now slopes from front to back as well. will this be a problem for me - other than i now have a sloping ceramic tiled floor. Open Question: my builder has glued the toilet to the floor tiles and then filled the screw holes ...?he says this is normal procedure, that it is very strong glue and I dont need to be worried. I asked him what would happen if I wanted to change the toilet. He replied that it would be very easy to move ... isnt that contradicting? He also said he hadnt screwed it to the floor because I have ceramic tiles over floor boards. He said the tiles would crack because they're porcelain (even though the tile man said they were ceramic). So, i asked if everyone in the world who has a toilet sitting on a ceramic (porcelain) floor tile has it stuck down. He said yes. Is it my imagination, or are my builders cowboys? Open Question: Textured Paint on Walls?I have textured walls covered by paint. I was wondering if there is a way to remove the texture without completely redoing the sheet rock? I want to repaint the walls without them being textured. Open Question: Where can I buy living room furniture?My husband and I are moving and we need new furniture. We'll be shopping in Delaware, and I was hoping someone could give me ideas of where I could buy good quality furniture at a relatively cheap price. I just want some starting places. Thanks for your help guys :D Open Question: where to throw good condition arm chair?We have set of big sofas but we don't need this arm chair because we have only little apartment that we are living now. We feel sad to throw this very good conditions sofa and thought might someone could use it. But nobody seems interested on it so we thought to throw this in a local tip but we don't want to pay for 25 pounds sounds like we are throwing money too..Anyone could tell us if there's any near local tip that we could just drive there and throw this arm chair in a nice way and no payment at all..?
