Open Question: Are mason jars effective for preventing exposure to moisture?

I need to find a way to store herbs but to protect them again moisture. Some of the powdered herbs I use get really gross due to moisture from just being in a plastic bag.

Open Question: Paint help?? From dark room to light room?

My husband has painted our girls room from a baby blue to a tangerine type of orange. He did not put primer on the walls beforehand because the sales lady at the store said there was already primer in the paint we bought and it wouldn't be necessary. He has done 2 1/2 coats and it looks terrible. There's still streaks and you can kinda see the blue behind the orange paint. My husband is a good painter so I'm not doubting his skills, just this overpriced paint that apparently didn't work. Is there any way we can fix this to look better? He's planning on buying another bucket of paint to do a 3rd or maybe 4th coat. Will that do any good?
