I want to start my own fencing/landscaping company and would like to know how to estimate the cost of material? I have perfected the cost of labor and I am stuck on the cost, or how to figure out the cost of material. I understand that I can multiply the the material by foot, I got that part. but how does a professional estimator account for land issues, hardware? and would it be better for me to charge labor only. and leave the shopping up to the costumer? I have been researching this and other similar business ideas for months and I have almost saved enough money to be licensed and bonded. and I already have my own tools.
