There are two bedrooms on either side of the front centered staircase up there. One is larger than the other but I wanted to use both as bedrooms. Now my contractor claims that there is no way that I will get my furniture upstairs and into the rooms. I only have a queen bed (that doesn't have a head or footboard) and all of my other furniture is relatively slender (or so I thought). I know there's not much of a landing but can't you just stand things up and swing out the bottom, making sure that the opposite room's door is open? Anyone have any advice or personal experiences? Open Question: cheap kitchen cabinets?I am doing a fix and flip remodel for some friends of mine and we are looking for some very inexpensive kitchen cabinets. I've tried several places that say they sell a 10 x 10 kitchen for $1299 but they are full of crap. The quoted kitchen is a galley kitchen with far fewer cabs. than someone in would put in. Plus they don't include fillers, toe kick, etc. So I'm wondering if someone knows of some place I can buy cheap cabinets. I have a few companies I use locally but they are still in the $2k range. I am open to unfinished, ready to assemble, box cabs, whatever.
