Open Question: Paint ceiling Glossy? and more... Open Question: Paint ceiling Glossy?Painting a basement that is having an addition added on. I felt I needed to paint both the old and the new at the same time. The old had just a basic white with some semi-Gloss to it. I don't think the Ceiling has that. I was thinking of just buying some 5 gallon bucket of some semi-Gloss white (paint and primer in one) and spray it everywhere. But I'm not sure if I want the same thing on the ceiling as on the walls? Do I paint the ceiling and the walls the same paint? Or more do I use semi Gloss or even gloss paint on the Ceiling? Thanks Open Question: Interior decorating websites?I know it is a long shot, but... I'd love to be able to post photos of what the rooms look like, give details as to what I need in each room, etc....and have people give me some ideas. Yes, I'd like some design opinions without hiring a designer :) Does such a site exist? Open Question: Faux sponging on plywood wall without faux glaze?I am planning to apply faux finish on the wall of my room. Thing is, the wall is made of plywood (marine plywood to be exact). I have already primed it with flat wall enamel. I am thinking if it would be possible to do sponging without a faux glaze because I'm having a hard time finding one here in Manila, Philippines. Is it possible to do this? How do I go about it? What kind of paint will I have to use? Do I have to thin it out? With what? Sorry if I'm asking a lot. It's my first DIY project. Your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
