Open Question: Plumbing cost for house in Golden, CO? and more... Open Question: Plumbing cost for house in Golden, CO?How much would a plumbing job be for a house in Golden, CO. It is 1500 sq.ft. Can I have it in US dollar and can I get manual labor cost, including hours, or total cost? Cost per sq.ft. would be recommended. It is 2 story with a garage/basement as one story and living quarters as another story. And can I get where you are getting the info from. There are 2 baths, 18X14 kitchen. Piping can be anyway to minimize cost. Open Question: Ideas for doing up bedroom? My bedroom is like a light blue colour and i want to be able to do it up what is a good bed spread and other things that would go with my room? x Open Question: What do you think of this bedroom color scheme/idea?I'm 13 years old, and my bedroom is a pretty good size, definetly not too small but not that huge either. I really want to have a bedroom that reflects who I am, especially being a teen, undergoing a lot of stress I want it to be the one place that relaxes me. And it'll be the only space I can call mine also. So I'm thinking of doing all the walls but one like a soft blue or a refreshing blue-green. Then the other wall would be a warm coffee color, or some creamy beige or something. Then as an accent color I would have a nice bright pink to give off more energy. Like my bedsheets, a few pics, and maybe flowers. I don't know, what do you think? My room has two windows side by side btw. Thanks! Open Question: where can i get cheap furniture?Open Question: can a shower curtain be used a curtain in your room?im taking out my closet doors and was wondering if it would look funky to put a cloth (shower) curtain Open Question: best time to hire a contractor for addition?I am in Bowie, MD. I have been trying to hire a decent contractor for an addition. I started the process in March. All of them seemed desperate for business. Now that I am ready to go ahead with the project, they suddenly seems too busy. Do things usually pick up in the spring/summer? When is the best time to hire them? Do their prices go down in the fall/winter? Any insight will be helpful. Open Question: Bug Spray in Dorm Room?I just got back from spring break yesterday and, I have always been a clean person. Last night I discovered a bug... I don't know what kind all I know is that it moved fast and got away. And today's some type of flying bug was on me and I'm freaking out because bugs freak the f**k out of me. I have trouble sleeping knowing they're in my room. It's just some fear that they're going to fly or crawl onto or into me as I'm sleeping. So I bought some RAID bug spray but, Im wary of spraying it. The bugs seem to be coming from over by my heater/air conditioner and, the bottle says to keep away from heat... although I'm not using the heater. It also says once you spray it you need to ventilate. I don't know I guess what I'm asking is, will spraying it (1.) kill these bugs, (2.) harm me, (3.) not blow my ******* dorm up... Basically will it do the job safely? Open Question: Strange odor in bathroom and bedroom?I recently bought my home and have noticed a very strange odor in the bath and master bedroom. The bath and bedroom are connected, so I am not sure if its just in one room and carrying over to the other. I have new carpet and paint, so I would think things would smell fresh and new. The home was built in 1973 and at one point had blown insulation done in the attic which was not properly vented. I have noticed the smell more now that it has been warmer out. I am not sure if it has something to do with the attic getting hot due to poor ventilation. I plan on going up and putting in more vents, but have not had the time to do it yet. Maybe it is coming from something in the bathroom? Replaced shower, toilet, and lav and everything is properly trapped and vented. All the other rooms on the second floor are fine and have no odor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Open Question: How much should I pay to have my kitchen remodeled?A relative is going to remodel my kitchen, which it very much needs. He does this type of work, but right now he is unemployed. I am going to pay for all the material at his cost, but I have no idea how much I should pay him for his labor. He hasn't asked for any money, but I know he and his wife could use some cash to pay bills right now and I want to be fair with him. He estimates the job will take three days for everything. I know wages vary from place to place so I will tell you we are near Boston, Massachusetts which is generally a higher cost of living area. Open Question: Remodeling an old home! Please look?Ok so I'm going to buy this old home. I want to remodel it because it costs less. I want to add rooms in the back and remodel it. would it cost less to add a new floor (2nd floor) or remodel the whole thing. and approximately how much. I know it depends on materials and things but just an estimate. If I add rooms and such, how long do you think it will take? Open Question: I bought some ceiling medallions please help?I think these are so pretty but I do not know much about them. i am wondering can i put one in every room or is that overkill? do people usually put them in the dining room or what rooms and how do they usually do this?
