Open Question: Odor in wood furniture - did fried_twinkie1 answer work?I have the same issue that fried_twinkie1 did a few weeks back. I also have a new PB buffet (possibly the same one) with a very strong varnish odor I'd like to eliminate. Nothing has worked yet. Before I try fried/twinkie1's chosen answer to bring it outside to air out, I'd like to hear if it worked. I've tried baking soda in addition to vinegar, airing it out with cabinets and drawers open (inside the house) for a week, and murphy's oil soap. Anything I put in there comes out smelling horrible, too. So fried_twinkie1 - did airing it outside work? I'd hate to have to coat the whole thing with polyurethane to get rid of the smell. Thanks in advance for any answers. Open Question: How much is my vintage SR 78 Frigidaire refrigerator from 1950's era worth?It works fine but has been painted over. The paint looks like spray paint so yes it will need to be painted. Has all pieces but the door handle (broken). It works very well.
