Open Question: Question Regarding New house design modification?Photo of Room in Question: http://imgur.com/b9OEA.jpg Room plan: http://imgur.com/QzhmF.jpg My new home has a room with dimensions (12'x19.8') and I plan to use it as an entertainment centre of the house. My 52" LCD television unfortunately is too large to fit above the fireplace in it's current location, so we were planning on moving the fireplace to the opposite wall (as indicated by the photo). A frame will be constructed around the fireplace to house the television. I was wondering, would this adjustment look good, or would it completely alter the room's orientation for the worse? Another thing to note is that, the house is "open concept" which means that there is an overlook from the second floor towards the room. My main concern is that, the location of the fireplace is designed so that it would feel it belongs in that area. The large windows envelop the fireplace. Open Question: Where to buy glow in the dark tape?I need a roll of glow in the dark tape for a project. It needs to be at least 10-15 feet long 1" if possible or fairly cheap for mulitple rolls please. I have seen many on the internet, but it would be very convenient to know of any stores where it may be caried. If you would like to be more specific, stores in San Diego please. The living room is pretty small and the walls are white. The floor is a dark hard wood. I have a beige love couch that I will be taking with me, but other then that have no other furniture. I want it to be cozy and chic, but i'm not quite sure where to start. Can you guys please give me some ideas as to what I should do with a rug, curtains, coffee tables, and all around decoration? Open Question: stores that sell vintage furniture?Open Question: What color will complement my Kitchen?I have sandstone grouted countertops, old oak cabinets, and black and stainless appliances. I am painting the kitchen a tan w/ orange tint(Mexican Sand). I'm sticking with the desert-y look(since I live in the desert), but I don't want to overdo the Orange. The cabinets are old so they're getting that orange-y look to them. I was thinking of doing a tile backsplash in another color that will complement the rest of the kitchen. Thanks!!
