Open Question: Should I study Interior Arch, or Architecture?I think I want to study Interior Arch and Design but I get kind of depressed at the thought I won't be able to do 'the whole thing'. The idea of being limited by the architect's vision kind of scares me. I like architecture as well but think I'm probably more suited to the interior part. I've heard that architects can do interior arch and design but not vice versa. Looking at the curriculum and school projects I think I'd enjoy the Interior program more though. What should I do? Open Question: My friend had a hardwood floor installed. The wood was stacked on top of each other unopened and only sat for?24 hours. The biggest problem is she noticed alot of discrepancies in the finish ie. looks like brush strokes, inconsistent colouring, dark spots, no grain. I'm not an expert but is this normal for hardwood to be so inconsistent. Plus, the store owner blamed her for of all things told her she should have noticed it sooner and went thru the boxes picking out the good strips (20 boxes in total). The product says Premium Hardwood Flooring on the outside of the box. I believe it is white oak and has a dark colouring to it. She left the installers unattended and was outside with me so as to not interfere with them installing. I think the owner is trying to mitigate his loss and put all of them blame on her. She paid half of the money to begin the install and is refusing to pay the rest. The installation is not complete(only the kitchen is done) and she wants it all ripped up and her money back. Total for job is $3200 for small kitchen and dining room space. Any expert advice is appreciated. More Recent Articles
