Someone, help! thanks. :) Open Question: which is much cheaper:changing the carpet to laminates or refinishing the old wooden floor?which would be more cheaper .... and we are doing this by ourselves Open Question: name of glue to stick acrylic together?i used this glue at school, to stick pieces of acrylic together but i cant remember the name as it was some scary name and my brain was turning to mush smelling the fumes.. it sets very quickly it doesnt need to be held under tension, but better if it is i think it melts the plastic together and fuse them together my teacher was going ballistic because i took the lid off and left it like that, she told me, when i use it, to lift the lid, take the paintbrush out, put the lid back on, apply the glue to my plastic, take the lid off, put the paintbrush back in and put the lid back on. and it did smell pretty strong it was a clear colour it was in a scary silver bottle and i think the name had "thermo" somewhere... can anyone help? thanks to all!!!! Open Question: how do you get stuck on stickers off a painted wood door?Open Question: Could my Sears have had a dumbwaiter at one point?I live in apartment in a Sears house built sometime between 1900-1915. There is a strange empty, walled up space in small area which used to be closet but is now a 3 ft walk through hallway. The house has been cut up for apartments but the majority of the original material is intact. Is it possible that there could have been a dumbwaiter? No evidence of a laundry shoot existing (checked the basement). I have never heard/seen of modest houses like this one having one and was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks!
