My dad just bought a new house, and I have my own bedroom, it's not quite small, or big either. My dad painted the walls a light almond, and I have carpet as the flooring. I am 13 and a female, and would like to know what a good room theme would be for me. My dad can afford some decent furniture, but nothing too expensive. My room has on window facing the front yard, and mirror doors. I want to know how to make it look bigger, without it costing too much. And what type of furniture and theme should my room have for a teen? I also need to plan ahead on what I might like when I am an older teenager, so nothing that only a 13 year old would like. I don't have a specific style, so almost anything not weird would be fine, as in I don't want to paint my walls green, or have my bed sheets girly and pink. Something modern would do.
