We're going to have electricity in there and it's going to be pretty awesome. We each got our own wall and I'm not sure what to decorate my wall with. I can use nails or tape or anything. I don't want posters though, I think they're stupid. Any ideas that aren't completely tacky? Open Question: How high should chair rail be in dining room?Open Question: I want to remodel my kitchen - do I need a kitchen designer?I'm looking for some advice on whether I need a kitchen designer. Specifically, what can a kitchen designer do that my kitchen remodeling contractor can't do? I have plans to change the kitchen layout a bit - maybe tear out a wall. Anything else I should be thinking about? Thanks in advance! Open Question: Is anyone out there really good with furniture?I'm redoing my room. I want a blue-green theme. Any suggestions for furniture? If so, could you post a pic? Or a link would work. Thank you. Open Question: is there any problems that are caused by floor installation? or disadvantages?i bought a new house so i am confused whether to insulate my floor or not. Open Question: vanity lighting help!?I just got my first vanity only a few months ago because I have really started to get into makeup and I simply love the look of a vanity. I absolutely love the one i purchased but in order to do my makeup I need good lighting. My vanity is up againts a wall with no lights around it (right now i have my night stand lamp on it so i can see) but I really need some sort of lighting fixture that isnt tacky or ugly. My problem is that I do not have the option of putting a fixture in the wall permanently... I was wondering if there are lighting attachments that look like mounted ones but where there is a cord and it just hangs down so i could run it down the back of my vanity since there is a plug in right underneath on the wall. this mirror is similar to the shape of the mirror on my vanity http://smcnamara.net/vanity1.JPG So i was thinking I need 2 lights maybe to sit in the dips on each side of the mirror part.. BUT i still have no idea where i could find something i could do that with.. and what kind of lights should i use for a vanity? what lights will show true color best? thank you so much! i hope i get lots of helpful answers (: Open Question: Music Bedroom ideas!!! :D?I am redeorating my room FINALLY !! :D i decided i want it to be a music theme. After shopping at Home Depot I realized that a project like this will cost thousands of dollars compared to pouring my own would be a lot cheaper. More Recent Articles
