Open Question: untidy wallpaper edges?I have just wallpapered for the first time and have made a rubbish job with trimming the paper at the top, near the ceiling (used a sharp blade) ;( I have coving at the top already and have considered pulling that off and replacing with a new piece of greater depth to cover up. Can i stick something underneath the coving? Having spent all day on it and feeling like i never want to wallpaper again, my SO just walked in and said it looked s@*t! So depressed. Open Question: What's the best kind of paint to buy if I'm painting a wooden stool?I bought a wooden stool that I'm using in my bathroom but the current color (brown) doesn 't match my bathroom. I'd like to paint it grey but not sure what's the best kind of paint to buy. I'd prefer not to use spray paint. I prefer to roll the paint on using a roller and brush. Any suggestions? From a contractor's experience how long should something like this take. I have heard from people who have had it done to their house that it only took two weeks. Open Question: Where can I find paint similar to Ralph Lauren Suede finish in Canada?I had some Ralph Lauren suede paint that I bought from Home Depot a while ago. It's since been discontinued in Canada (it's still available in America) and I can't buy it anywhere here. Buying it in America and having it shipped to Canada is not available through Ralph Lauren's web site, and physically going to America and buying it and bringing it back myself is not an option because you cannot transport paint in an airplane as it is considered dangerous goods. The suede finish paint is very distinctive-looking: http://www.ralphlaurenhome.com/products/paint/Finishes/Items.aspx?haid=76 The problem is, it's started to scuff and stain a bit and I want to buy some more in order to repaint/touch up ... which I obviously cannot do in Canada. Are there any other kinds of paint that will give a similar texture or style? Thanks, but I went to Home Depot yesterday and they said they absolutely could not do that -- they no longer carry it, no longer have access to the distributor and could not order it in for me.
