Open Question: laying wood floor over indoor/outdoor carpet?There is indoor/outdoor carpet glued over concrete slab in one bedroom. Can we lay a pergo type floor covering over it or does it need to be pulled up. Being he wood planks will be a floatng floor, would it make a difference if the carpet remained? Some of the things that will be a necessity in my room will be my headboard. It's wood and has shelves, and my dresser (matches the headboard). A lamp that has different colored covers and can move around on those wire things, I don't remember what there called. And a bookcase with three shelves. I have an antique looking painting of Venice, and a cartoon drawing of myself from jr. high. I also need an idea for a desk. I have a laptop and things that need placing. The floors are wood, but my mother painted them grey-blue (for some reason), but I might paint them beige along with the ceiling. I'm just really into light, soothing, earth tone colors, and antique styles. So I need ideas for paintings, maybe some area rugs. Possibly colors for my sheets. Basically just color schemes. Open Question: What would be some cool designs for my wall?To start things off, I'm not overly talented or creative. Or artsy or really anything. Hahahaa. I'm looking for ideas as to what I can put on my wall. I just painted it dark red, and I love it. But, I wanted it to have some cool simple pictures that I could draw. Right now I have tons of song lyrics and rad bands written all over my walls. I also have records that look pretty kick ass too. Recently, I drew black boxes with hearts on my wall with nail polish. Thats kind of what I'm looking for. Things like that. But don't say "Just do more hearts" . Because, I really don't want a bunch of hearts all over my wall. So, any ideas are welcome !:) (Except 'do more hearts', of course) Thanks! Open Question: I love pillows a lot. I need more?I have an obbsesion. With pillows. I have about 30 on my bed. Some blue and some purple. I want one in the shape of my name. I lost my favorite yellow pillow yesterday. I am sad. I'm getting a new one today.
