Open Question: Gold paint with metalic finish?I'm not doing the entire wall like this, but does anyone know of a paint that's not, despite the title, exuberently metalic but has a shine? That's a nice gold? As i said, it wont be on my entire wall. I don't know if you've seen walls like this before, but I'm doing a soft pink/sandy color on the walls with diagonal, three or four inch wide stripes of gold forming diamond shapes all over the walls. Open Question: how are baseboards sold, how long?I'm renovating my bedroom downstairs by myself, well my dad is helping, and I was wondering what it would cost for baseboards for the 10'7"x10'8" room, I've got it worked out that I need about 44 linear feet (I measured each wall, subtracting the spots where I won't need boards for like the closet and door.) I also know that @ homedepot it costs roughly 1.40 per linear foot for the stuff I want. So I guess my question is how is it sold, I know in long pieces, but how long are they 3 feet or 8 feet. I really don't know, anything you can say would be a help. Oh I'm a student so don't reply if your only going to direct me to a carpenter because my dad will be putting down the boards, since he's done it before, it's just been awhile and I want to know in advance how much it's going to cost so I can budget for it.
