Open Question: Finishing a basement of a home and a loan question..?

My husband and i are lookin at buying a home and being that its a small home we would want to waterproof and finish the basement. There are 3 rooms in the basement two rooms are about12 foot by 12 foot and one is like 5 foot by 10 foot. totaling 29 foot by 12 foot I was just wondering if anyone ever had a basement around this size waterproofed dry walled and carpeted and about how much you paid for it. Also we would be paying about 45,000 for the house (no its not a crappy house lol its from a family member so we are getting a good deal. ) We would probably buy it for 55,000 though and get 10,000 back for the work we want to do. We are hoping for a 30 year fixed loan for 55,000...does anyone know about how much a payment would be on a loan for his much?

Open Question: How can I transform my living room?

I am the worst interior designer ever but I'm moving in with my boyfriend this summer (into a flat I own) and I'd like to put our stamp on it. Since he is getting the spare room to play his Xbox etc in (he's renamed it the 'games room') it's been agreed that I'll redecorate the living room. However, I bought a black leather couch and a glass dining table with black leather chairs when I first started living there (and had money!) and because they cost quite a lot I can't really move or replace them. The living room is quite small but it looks so boring and plain, I'd really like to liven it up! I love vintage inspired looks but I don't think that would work with the current furniture. Does anyone have any ideas/pictures/links I can use for inspiration? I'm on a tight budget but I just want the place to look more homey, instead of a flat that's only been furnished for rent. Thanks in advance! No, I'm not fussed on the leather sofa either but it's there now and it's fairly comfortable!

Open Question: Anyone have a suggestion on naming my new line of organic pillows?

I want a name that makes people believe that they are really 100% organic material and not some kind of fake stuff made in a sweatshop in Chinatown. Umm, not that I would do something like that, it's just that a lot of people sell fake merchandise here in the city. Thanks for all your help!!

Open Question: Can ANY 100% Olefin Rug Be Used Outside?

I have been looking at outdoor rugs...and most of them are "100% Olefin". I saw a rug in a store yesterday that said 100% Olefin..but it was not specifically an "Outdoor rug". Is it okay to use it outside? I'm not too worried about fading, etc...I just don't want it to mildew or anything. Thanks!
