I want a more modern mature, vintage theme. Open Question: Why Do Some Italian Families Have Furniture and Other Things In The House "For Show"?My grandparents were like this and so are a few other Italian families that I am aware of today... They have a living room in the house that is hardly ever used. They have the furniture covered in plastic. Also, they have a really big dining room that people may use only 4-5 times a year.. if that. I don't get why this is done. I say Italians because I am unfamiliar with any other group of people who does things like this.. none that I've seen any way.
