Open Question: Is it better to have an attached tiny master suite or a large detached master suite?Currently, our master bath is no bigger than a 6'x9' room with a toilet, stand-up shower and a single basin sink. The master closet is even smaller at about 5'x3'. Across the hall from the master suite is an office with no windows and a guest bathroom. The office is about 12'x12' and the guest bath is about 5'x12'. I would like to renovate the office and guest bath into the new master bath/closet. Would it be more beneficial to the resale value of the home to leave the layout as it is or to renovate the office/bath into a master bath/closet that is detached from the master room? PS If I renovated, I would change the present master bath into the guest bath, so that I am not losing a guest bath on this floor.
