Open Question: What color/style rug for small room with mustard colored walls and black contemporary furniture?

I have a small room with mustard colored walls and black contemporary furniture. I am using this room as a closet/dressing room. My style tends towards Ikea - Swedish modern/warm contemporary. I don't have a huge budget either. I think a very light color will pop too much against the black furniture and a dark color makes the room look tiny. Also, I am trying to soften the look of the room which, along with the furniture, is very angular. Want it to look softer and more feminine, but not necessarily girly. Any ideas?

Open Question: How much does it cost to put a bathroom in a basement?

I am looking to buy a house and it only has one bathroom. The basement is finished but no 2nd bathroom is there. I want to put in a 3/4 bathroom. This is an older home (47 years) as opposed to a newer home that has all the stuff plumbed in. I will not be doing this myself--I will hire a plumber to put in the sink, shower and toilet. How much does that cost? Out of curiosity--how do you do that in an older home? Do they have to break through the foundation--and then what? This would be in Wiscosin.

Open Question: Very Light Beigy Orange curtains - suggestions for wall color and bedding?

I have very light orange (beigy orange) curtains tailored in traditional style (valence and sheer curtails and drapes with tie backs etc for a huge master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling. The bed room's huge so I am not worried about it looking smaller when painted with dark colors. However will chochlate brown be too dark? too heavy? I personally LOVE lighter shades on the walls but I made a mistake and I now have to work with these light orange curtains.. so I am stuck! So my question is if I paint two opposite walls chochlate brown and the other warm beige and put these light orange curtains and buy a chochlate/beige (more beige less chochlate) comforter set.. will I be adding myself to the ugly house list? Any other color suggestions???/ Please help!!!
