Open Question: why is there a space between the tiles on a granite tile counter top?

I was wondering why a space is left between the tiles on the granite counters? Is it something to do with holding them to the counter? Why wouldn't you put the as close together as possible?

Open Question: Are landlords responsible for window screens/blinds?

This house did not come with them and we have spent 300 dollars getting new ones. If we move, do they need to compensate us for them?

Open Question: My daughter wants her walls painted lime green. She also loves orange. Will lime green and orange clash?

She wants lime green and orange strips. I thought the orange may not look good against the lime green. She also loves turquoise blue and purple. We would like to incorporate all these colors. What is the best way to do it. She has a very bright and funky personality and we want the room to reflect on that.
