Open Question: Cool/random furnishings & decorations like you see in movies?

I'm looking for cool/random furnishings & decorations like you see in movies. I've already been to urbanoutfitters and I'm looking for some other sources. I'd also like it if they were cheap! To give you an idea of what I'm thinking, I already have some Chinese foo dog bookends, a gold Indian elephant statue, a green irish cross hanging on the wall, an indian prayer flag, a native american style bandanna, and an animal head wall mount.

Open Question: Downsizing the kitchen help needed.?

My youngest just moved out. I have way to many serving bowls, casserole pans, cake pans and so on. China serving sets I never use. I collected for years on much of the tupperware containers. Then the Crock pot, fry daddy, to the waffle iron. How do I decide what to get rid of? I have 24 forks, spoons, knives. I have over 18 cereal bowls at least. Only one set of 8 that match. As for glasses lets just say between coffee cups to juice cups I have enough for 3 shelves. I do not have grand kids. My older sons do not visit. They prefer me to come there because of the drive. But that might also be because they have only been out of the house for a few years. The newness may wear off of liking to host. Basically they would only come here 2 or 3 times a year to eat all together. And when they come alone they raid the fridge and stand there. Ha Ha. So how much do i keep? How do you decide? I feel like a hoarder today when I looked at everything in the kitchen. I am very over whelmed.

Open Question: Is it worth it to hire a carpet cleaner rather than rent a rug Dr.?

We're moving out and just this month had to get a carpet patch put down. It's Berber carpet if that influences anything.

Open Question: Emulsion paint is flaking?

I am decorating my Mum's front room and have stripped off all the woodchip wallpaper (wot a job!). I have applied two coats of emulsion on the plaster (the old plaster under the woodchip - not newly plastered) and it is flaking off!!! Agh! I am not a DIYer and really don't know what to do. Any help would be much appreciated (I'm too old to keep repainting!) Thanks. Jackie

Open Question: Best Stressless recliner prices?

I live in Ft Lauderdale area and can't drive. Where is the least expensive site to buy the Stressless recliners from Norway? Kind of hard to ask friends to run me all over. I don't need to pick out, so online is great.
