We have 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen. I am looking to remodel the apartment for 2 guys. A girl lived in it before me and needs a major make over for guys. I am looking to spend very little money. I also want some suggestions on how to decorate my walls since I can't paint it. I was also thinking about practicing feng shui but it seems kind of complicated because I had read so many things that says this and that. Still, I would love some info. on how to create a peaceful and full of energy kind-of environment in my room. I want my room to be full of inspirations and fill with my goals and dreams and lastly, a good setting to do homework. Open Question: i want a totally fake fireplace, what is that called?I have bought a new home, and I subscribe to "Better homes and gardens" I am looking into different decorating ideas and I love the living rooms that are decorated around a fireplace. My new home is newer and does not have a fireplace. Is it possible for me to buy a totally fake fireplace? Just for looks. I dont even care if it can actually light up. Open Question: bedroom wall colour to go with a dragon?I'm planning on painting my bedroom wall, only I'm not too good with colour/contrast and all that kind of stuff. On the wall I'm either painting or putting up a poster of "night fury" or "toothless" from the movie 'How to train your dragon'. He's a dark bluey navy colour and I have no idea what colour to paint the walls in order to match with it. Any ideas to make it look better on a budget? 10 points up for grabs!?I have a very ugly purple hatchback. The paint has faded on most panels except for where I recently removed the side strips and badges (they were nearly falling off anyway). Someone has clearly polished it too much on the roof because most of it is white undercoat coming through. I want to spruce it up a bit but need some inspiration. I want people to look at it as it goes by (either because it looks good or it looks worse, don't really care just want it to stand out) I have done spray painting before but the result of trying to match the colour is usually unsuccessful - besides I hate purple! Any ideas to make it look either better or worse so it turns heads? Like sanding off all the paint and letting the metal rust. Glow in the dark paint maybe? Be creative. Best original idea gets 10 points and I'll probably do it to the car. Thanks! Open Question: Painting cabinets........?I just moved into a house, and the kitchen cabinets are absolutely HIDEOUS. The cabinets themselves I'm guessing were some cheap menards special. They have that horrid fake wood finish, that isn't actually finish but some kind of synthetic idk...I don't know how much longer I can stand to look at them. But rather than having to get new cabinets, I was wondering if I could paint over this material, or if the paint wouldn't abraise to this kind of material. More Recent Articles
